Education Ministry appeals for help to find Bole SHS Teacher over viral video
The Ministry of Education has appealed to the public to help security agencies locate a teacher from Bole Senior High School who is alleged to have gone into hiding after a video surfaced online showing him engaged in sexual misconduct with a student.
The teacher, whose identity has not been disclosed, has already been interdicted by the Ghana Education Service while investigations continue.
Deputy Minister of Education, Dr Clement Apaak said the ministry was treating the matter with urgency and had activated measures to ensure the teacher is held accountable.
According to him, preliminary checks indicate that the teacher is currently on the run, with security agencies working to track him down.
“Our checks indicate that the teacher has gone into hiding. We know that law enforcement is also playing its part, and he is being sought after. If Ghanaians can assist law enforcement to apprehend him, it would be very helpful,” Dr Apaak said.
He said the ministry was determined to ensure that the teacher faces both legal consequences and disciplinary action under the education service regulations.
The Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service have assured the public that investigations are ongoing and that appropriate action will be taken once all the facts have been established.
The case has sparked public concern following the circulation of the video, which allegedly shows the teacher and the student in the school’s science laboratory.
Authorities say efforts to locate the teacher are continuing as investigations progress.
